Taking a Journey for Sight inside a snow globe

Southern Manitoba was treated to beautiful scenes last week as hoar frost turned the outdoors into a winter wonderland. Eight riders, including four from the Boissevain Lions Club, were able to enjoy the feathery frosted landscape in the Turtle Mountains during the annual Journey for Sight ride, raising money for the Lions Eye Bank of Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario.

The two-day trek started in Waskada on Friday morning, January 20 with stops at Boissevain, Killarney, Ninette, Glenboro, Wawanesa and ending in Brandon on Saturday afternoon, January 21 where they met up with other riders travelling from the north.
Riders on the southwest leg included Boissevain Lions Les Houston, Leonard Wiebe, Ken Hole and Paul Hamilton, along with Kevin Lesy, Terry Tilbury, Jayden Tilbury and Steven Champion. Support truck drivers were Roland Hainsworth, Don Wickham and Beckie Radaway.
