Tamara Touchette, with the help of husband Trevor goes all out to give everyone a delightful scare on Halloween. They have an epic front yard display of spooky decorations, including a graveyard, ghosts, goblins, witches, spiders and more. Tamara said the decorations go up October 1 and come down right after Halloween. They moved to Boissevain from Oakbank a year ago and their former neighbours already miss their display.

“I always loved Halloween from the time I was a young child,” she said. “It is the one day of the year where you get to be a different person.”

Tochette said she enjoys the time decorating the yard and would be thrilled to be known as the Halloween House.

“It is great to see people’s reactions when they go by. It is for all ages, big kids, little kids and adults.”

As we get closer to Halloween, Touchette will be carving the collection of pumpkins that sit near the clapping monkey, which also happens to be one of her favourites in her collection of nearly 50 blowups.

As a mother of three, Touchette also manages living with MS. She will have a collection bowl available for donations to go towards MS if anyone wishes to contribute. But the evening, and month is about celebrating Halloween. She has buckets of treats ready, and is encouraging trick-or-treaters to stop by on October 31.
